Sad beauty: The meadows are covered in buttercups!! I’m so sad because the horses here have nothing else to eat and eventually graze their fields bare. I was curious so looked them up in Wikipedia, oh dear…. Part of the article from Wikipedia - All Ranunculus species are poisonous when eaten fresh by cattle, horses, and other livestock, but their acrid taste and the blistering of the mouth caused by their poison means they are usually left uneaten.
